Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has formally accepted the APC governorship ticket for Nasarawa State 2027, calling for reconciliation and unity after a contested party primary.
Addressing a press conference in Lafia Monday alongside stakeholders, the Nasarawa West senator said the APC primaries produced “no victor and no vanquished”.
–“I accept this mandate with responsibility”–
“I formally accept this mandate freely given by members of our great party across the State. I accept it with a deep sense of responsibility, total commitment, sincerity of purpose, and an unwavering determination to continue serving the people of Nasarawa State,” Wadada stated.
He extended a hand of fellowship to fellow aspirants Hassan Liman, SAN, and Dr. Fatima Abdullahi, praising their “statesmanship and sacrifices for the party’s stability.”
“The time for reconciliation, unity, and collective responsibility is now,” he urged aggrieved members and those considering defection.
–Backs Sule, aligns with Tinubu’s agenda–
Wadada commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for “purposeful leadership” and aligned his campaign with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, citing federal reforms in infrastructure, investment and institutional strengthening.
–HEARTS Agenda unveiled–
The APC candidate introduced his development blueprint, HEARTS Agenda — a six-pillar plan covering Human Capital Development, Economic Enhancement, Agriculture, Rural Transformation, Technology and Investment, and Security.
“Our goal is simple: to ensure that every community, every stakeholder, and every citizen feels the positive impact of governance regardless of location, social status, religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation,” he said.
–“Best days ahead”–
“With unity in our hearts, faith in Almighty Allah, and confidence in our collective strength, I am convinced that the best days of Nasarawa State are still ahead of us,” Wadada concluded.
