Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has sanctioned the schedule for disbursing the 13th-month salary commitment to the State’s workforce.
In a statement, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Hon. Chris Nehikhare, affirmed the governor’s unwavering dedication to the welfare of the State’s employees, consistently fulfilling his promise to enhance working conditions.
Nehikhare stated, “Governor Godwin Obaseki has greenlit the payment dates for the 13th-month salary for workers. The December salary is scheduled for disbursement on December 11th, while the 13th-month salary will be paid on December 27th.
“This aligns with the Governor’s steadfast commitment to the well-being of the State’s workers, a commitment upheld over the past seven years. It is crucial to highlight that the Obaseki-led administration has consistently honored salary payments, with no defaults; workers receive their salaries on or before the 26th of each month. The same applies to pensioners in the State.
“Furthermore, there have been regular promotions, with the latest occurring in January 2023. A conducive work environment prevails across six hubs in the State, and workers are enrolled in the Contributory Pension Scheme, ensuring they enjoy Life Insurance Benefits, among other perks. Workers have never experienced better conditions in Edo State.”
