The Journalism Clinic is set to host a special event to pay tribute to veteran journalists in Nigeria.
The “Appreciation Day” ceremony, scheduled for October 22, 2025, at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism in Lagos, will bring together over 68 media elders aged 70 and above for a day of remembrance and reunion.
The event aims to recognise the contributions of these journalists to the nation’s media landscape over the years.
Founder and Director of The Journalism Clinic, Taiwo Obe, stated that the event is a way to thank these elders for their dedication to informing, educating, and entertaining the public.
Distinguished guests, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Minister of Information and National Orientation Alhaji Mohammed Idris, are expected to attend the ceremony.
