Two friends, Osuolale Sarafa, 24 and Segun Michael, 27, on Thursday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly stealing building materials and pumping machine.
The duo, whose residential addresses were not provided, are facing charges bordering on conspiracy and theft.
The Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on March 23 at Alako, Eruwa area of Ibadan.
Amusan said that the duo stole pumping machine, valued at N120, 000; iron rods, valued at N40,000, plastic pipes worth N62,400 and other materials belonging to the complainant, Riltwins Farms, Ibadan.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Akande, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each, with one surety each in like sum.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case till May 22 for hearing. (NAN)
