The police, on Tuesday, charged a 29-year-old defendant, Olamide Hammed, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, over alleged stealing.

The defendant, a staff of Wise Choice Biogas Company, is standing trial on a three-count charge of conspiracy, theft and malicious damage.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge
The prosecutor, ASP Musbau Lawal, told the court that the defendant committed the offences sometime in February, at the Company.
He, alleged that the defendant and others now at large, conspired to steal helmets, biogas pumping machine, sleeping nets and stamp belonging to the company.
He told the court that the defendant also maliciously damaged the company’s website worth N1.8 million.
The prosecutor, said that the offences contravenes the provisions of sections 390(9), 451 and 516, of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mr Olaolu Olanipekun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N400,000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
He, adjourned the case until Aug. 28, for hearing.
