President Bola Tinubu has rescheduled the commencement of his three-nation trip to Sunday, May 3, a day later than earlier announced.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this known in a statement on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
“President Tinubu has rescheduled his three-nation trip to begin on Sunday, rather than Saturday as previously indicated,” he stated.
Onanuga had earlier announced that the president would depart Abuja on Saturday, travelling first to France before proceeding to Nairobi, Kenya, for the Africa-France summit.
Onanuga disclosed that Tinubu will be accompanied on the trip by some of his ministers and senior aides, adding that the president will return to Nigeria at the end of the summit in Rwanda.
