President Bola Tinubu has led the remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari to Daura, his hometown, for burial.
The remains of the former President Muhammadu Buhari were flown into Umar Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina State on Tuesday afternoon.
President Bola Tinubu led a high-powered federal delegation to receive the body, which was transported aboard a presidential aircraft.
Also present at the airport were state governors, federal ministers, members of the National Assembly, and other top government officials.
As of the time of filing this report, the motorcade was still on the way to Daura, where family members, top government functionaries, and dignitaries were waiting to witness the burial ceremony and bid him farewell.
