President Bola Tinubu is holding a bilateral meeting with the Special Envoy of the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Peng Qinghua.
The meeting follows similar ones with envoys of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia, 72 hours ago where they pledged support for the Tinubu administration.
Peng, who is the Leader of Chinese delegation to the inauguration ceremony of Tinubu, arrived at the Villa around 03:30 pm after which he was ushered into the President’s office.
The delegation included the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun and his deputy.
Although the details of Wednesday’s bilateral meeting had yet tp be made public as of press time, the leaders were expected to discuss key areas of collaboration between Nigeria and the People’s Republic of China.
