The coast appears to be getting clearer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship standard bearer in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as three new commissioners in the Edo State Oil Gas Producing Area Development Commission (EDOSOGPADEC) on Monday resigned their appointments to support his governirship bid.
The commissioners included Prince Emmanuel Odigie, Alhaji Aiwanu Oshiomhole, and Osamwonyi Atu representing Edo Central, Edo North Senatorial district and Edo South respectively.
Another Special Adviser, Hon. Bright Njor of Ugbeka Ward 03, has also resigned his position.
In their resignation letters, the commissioners and special adviser pledged support for the APC’s governorship candidate, Pastor Ize-Iyamu.
Ize-Iyamu is looking to dislodge the incumbent governor and candidate ofcthe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Godwon Obaseki, in the scheduled  September 19, 2020 election.
Their resignations came on the heels of similar resignations by Commissioners and other senior aides last week.
There are feelers that many more aides of the governor  and top administration officials may resign in the next three weeks.
