- Inaugural meeting of the Presidential Task Force on COVID19 will hold today
The Lagos State Ministry of Health has confirmed another case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.
This is the third case of the virus in Nigeria and a new case-independent of the index case.
The Lagos State Ministry of Health broke the news on Tuesday on its Twitter page.
The ministry explained that the case was that of a 30-year-old Nigerian female who returned from the United Kingdom on March 13, observed self-isolation and developed symptoms, thereby testing positive.
She is receiving care at the Mainland General Hospital.
in a quick reaction on Tuesday, the National Emergency Operations Centre continues to support Lagos State Ministry of Health in the response. It added that the State has begun contact tracing to identify contacts of case since her return to Nigeria.
“We continue to assess the COVID19 Nigeria situation and review national response accordingly.

The National Emergency Operations Centre urged Nigerians to follow advise provided by Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria, NCDC and health authorities
