Tension and pandemonium have broken out in Osun state in the aftermath of the killing of a son of the Olofa of Ofatedo, Oba Abdullahi Okunloye.
THE CONCLAVE reports that the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday.
The son of the Olofa of Ofatedo, Yunusa Okunloye was allegedly killed by a suspected cultist.
The prince, aged 43 years, according to information gathered by The CONCLAVE, was shot dead by a suspected cultist at his residence in the ancient Ofatedo community in Egbedore local government area of the state.

According to one of his brothers, Yunusa was called out of his house around 12am on Saturday and was shot in the chest by the cultist identifued as BJ.
The deceased’s brother, in an interview with our Correspondent, explained that Yunusa was killed after wading into a fight between a commercial bus driver of Korope and BJ cult group.
According to him, “Yunusa met the elderly korope driver after he was beaten by the cultists, and after he enquired from the driver who was beating, the driver took Yunusa to BJ joint at Alaba, in Ofatedo area.
“When Yunusa met BJ, he warned to stop disturbing the peace in Ofatedo by harassing innocent people, but in the heat of the argument, Yunusa slapped BJ and left the joint.”
Also commenting, the Chairman, Oodua Peoples Congress OPC, Egbedore Local Government, Gago, said the OPC had been monitoring the movements of the Cultist who had been
having meetings at the Airport in Ido-Osun.
Gago who assured the protesting youths that OPC would collaborate with the Police to get BJ apprehended, said BJ’s father was already in Police custody.
There was a total roadblock as of 8am in the community while businesses were closed down.
Meanwhile, the Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola, onfirmed the incident.
She said a group of suspected cultists numbering three invaded Olofa street, Ofatedo and called Okunloye out of his room and shot him in his chest.
She disclosed that the prince later died and his remains deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Opalola said no arrest had been made but promised that “frantic efforts are on to arrest the suspects.”
