In an effort to strengthen the fighting efficiency of troops in the North East, the Theatre Training School of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has inaugurate a Refresher Training for Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) Crew Men.
The training was inaugurated on 14 Jun, 2022 by the Theatre Commander OPHK, Major General C.G Musa who was represented by the Deputy Theatre Commander OPHK, Major General I.M Jallo.
In his remarks he said the refresher training is considered necessary in order to enhance their fighting efficiency and performance in the front lines.
General Jallo stated further that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, has provided OPHK with AFV which necessitated the extraction of Crew Men from all the sectors of OPHK for the specific training before they would be deployed into battle.
While enumerating the benefits of the training which he said will boost morale of men and officers of the force and enhanced their skills, he therefore warned the participants on misconduct and urged them to put in their best to acquire more knowledge as the training progresses.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Theatre Training Officer (TTO) Brig Gen E.O Oduyebo ssid that the Theatre Commander in his wisdom initiated the idea of retraining all Armoured Fighting Vehicles crew men so that they will be proficient in handling the equipment that will be given to them for the prosecution of the war against the insurgents.
