Angry delegates at the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national convention in Ibadan on Saturday pulled down posters of governors who failed to attend the event, expressing open displeasure over their absence.

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas were noticeably missing at the convention holding at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.

Their absence comes amid heightened internal tensions, with the PDP currently embroiled in a leadership crisis.

Despite two conflicting court rulings, the Umar Damagum-led faction of the party pushed ahead with the convention, relying on a favourable judgment from an Oyo State High Court.

Governors present at the venue included Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), and the host governor, Seyi Makinde (Oyo).

Several prominent party figures were also in attendance, among them former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, and former governors Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), and Ibrahim Shekarau (Kano).
