Supreme Court Verdict: Oshiomhole congratulates Okpebholo, Idahosa

The Senator representing Edo North Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has expressed great joy and satisfaction over the Supreme Court verdict delivere today 10th July 2025 which validated the declaration of Senator Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected Governor of Edo State in the September 21 2024 governorship election.


“Res judicata” as Supreme Court affirms Gov Okpebholo’s election victory


In a statement released through his Chief of Staff Victor Oshioke, Oshiomhole said that the people of Edo State voted for good governance, development, peace, and respect for the rule of law in Edo State.

He said that Governor Okpebholo has been providing these since he assumed office on the November 12, 2024.

With this final judgement that has ratified his victory, I know he will double his efforts to justify the confidence reposed in him by the people.

Oshiomhole thanked Edo people for the support they have given to Governor Okpebholo all these months which created a conducive environments for the government to deliver all the laudable achievements within such a short period.

Oshiomhole called on all Edo people, whether they voted for APC or not to now use the opportunity of this final judgement to key into the SHINE Agenda of the Okpebholo administration for the progress of Edo State.

Oshiomhole prayed that the peace and harmony existing within the ranks of APC in the state continue to thrive so that the government will have a tranquil environment for optimal delivery on ots mandate.
