A former Kano State Governor, Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau, has said that he would not accept injustice and deception against his political camp.
Shekarau said that it was better for him to abandon politics than to live in bondage and political servitude.
The former governor said this in Kano on Monday while engaging his Shura Council and Advisory committees on the development in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
He said the NNPP presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and the party reneged on the promise to have his (Shekarau) associates included in the NNPP candidates in Kano State ahead of the 2023 general election.
Shekarau, however, debunked the reports that his supporters were denied positions over the late decision to join the NNPP.
Senator Kwankwaso had reportedly said Shekarau’s loyalists joined NNPP when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline closed.
