Former Minority Whip, Federal House of Representatives and legal practitioner, Dr Samson R Osagie, said the death of Sir Prof. Victor Uwaifo at 80, had reverberated across the length and breadth of the globe and he would sorely be missed.
Osagie, in a tribute, said Prof. Victor Uwaifo was such an enigma combining music artistry with being an academic of great repute.

“He was such an enigma combining music artistry with being an academic of great repute.
“His musical albums featuring great Benin forklores like Joromi, Ekaasa, Arabade, to mention just a few are testimonies of his great talents and creativity.
“Anyone that had visited the Sir Victor Uwaifo Pallazo on Ekenwan Road in Benin City will understand that here was a great inventor, sculptor and a genius in the world of arts.
“His musical displays at both local, national and international events were spectacular which many across the globe like to behold.
“His humane and humble personality exemplified the robust assets God made of this uncommon homo sapiens.
“His death, at 80, has reverberated across the length and breadth of the globe and he will sorely be missed.
“At death the Shakespearean’s eulogy of the death of princes is re-echoed, when Calpurnia, Caesar’s wife exclaimed ‘When beggars die there are no comets seen;
The heavens themselves blaze forth the death of princes.’
