The remains of the former FCT Minister, the late Lt. Gen. Jeremiah Timbut Useni, were buried in his family’s burial ground in Telam Village, Pilgani Road, Langtang in Langtang North LGA of Plateau State on Saturday.
The former FCT minister popularly called Baba Mai Tuwo ( Baba with food) died in France on the 22nd of January 2025 at the age of 82 years.
Useni was buried beside his beloved wife, Mrs. Julie Useni, and their son, Danjuma Nancwat Useni. The duo tragically died in an EAS plane crash in May 2002.
Meanwhile, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang while speaking at the funeral church service held at the COCIN church RCC Langtang, said the remaining days of Lt. Gen JT Useni, before his demise, were spent on forgiveness and reconciliation.
According to him, Christians should always pray to God for forgiveness, adding that there would be no unity without forgiveness and reconciliation with one another in the state.
