A trending video has shown the moment that Colonel Isaac Amponsah, the Aide -De-Camp to Ghanaian President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, collapsed during the President’s state of the nation address.
President Akufo-Addo was addressing the Parliament on Friday, January 3, when the incident happened.
He had barely begun his speech when the ADC suddenly buckled, lost consciousness, and collapsed.
The president had to stop his address. He resumed after the incident had been dealt with.
The event was captured on video, showing people rushing to the scene to provide immediate assistance.
After receiving first aid, Col. Amponsah was reportedly transported to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation.
