President Tinubu mourns Major-General Aderonke Kale

President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Kale family, the Nigerian Army, and the entire medical community in Nigeria over the passing of the esteemed Major-General Aderonke Kale (retd), mni, at the age of 84.

The late Major-General Kale, a trailblazer in her own right, is still being celebrated as the first female Major-General in the Nigerian Army and the inaugural female Commander of the Nigerian Army Medical Corps. Her distinguished career spanned until her retirement in 1997.

In an official statement conveyed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Major-General Kale, acknowledging her as a pioneer whose departure had left a void in the nation.

“Major-General Aderonke Kale was a trailblazer in her field, exemplifying the qualities of courage, professionalism, capacity, and resilience inherent in Nigerian women. Her indomitable spirit led her to achievements where others hesitated. She stood as a towering figure and an incomparable role model,” remarked the President.

President Tinubu offers prayers for the peaceful repose of Major-General Kale’s soul and urges her bereaved family to find comfort in the enduring legacy she leaves behind.
