A change in the leadership guard in the National Assembly management has happened with the retirement of the Clerk to National Assembly, Architect Amos Olatunde Ojo.
Ojo’s retirement takes effect today, Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

A valedictory session was held on Monday, February 13, 2023 in his honour by the NASS management.
The brief valedictory session to officially ease him out as the CNA and from the civil service was attended by top management staff members, invluding the acting CNA,Sani Magaji Tambuwal.
The session took place about 3pm, after the outgoing CNA, reportedly and characteristically, kept his guests waiting for two hours before he showed up.
The event marked the end of the unnecessary and avoidable drama that the outgoing Clerk dragged the NASS through over whether or not he should proceed on three-month pre-retirement leave begining from November 14, 2022
THE CONCLAVE reports that the management organised the valedictory session for Architect Ojo on the eve of his retirement to enable him ease out of office and the NASS complex quietly and peacefully.
There were feelers that worker might boo or embarrass him ond way or another against the backdrop of his leadership style that did not accord priority to staff members’ welfare.
Besides, a source close to the development hinted that Architect Ojo was also afraid of possible strictures by the anti graft bodies, hence the valedictory session a day before the effective date of his retirement.
Meanwhile, with the successful handing over by Architect Ojo, Sani Magaji Tambuwal has now formally stepped in the saddle as the Acting CNA, preparatory to his confirmation by the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).
