The Niger State Police Command has arrested 15 suspects for prevailing youth restiveness, thuggery, and miscreants clashes in some parts of Minna metropolis, most especially Angwan-daji, Limawa, Angwan-sarki, Tudun-natsira, Flamingo, Barkin-sale and Soje area of Kpakungu Minna.
Confirming the report, the Command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun said the State Police Command had exhibited enough restraint in curtailing this menace without resorting to the use of lethal means in dealing with the undesirable elements in the communities.
Abiodun warned parents/guardians that “enough is enough,” and should caution their wards against unruly behaviour as such act would henceforth be ruthlessly dealt with.
He added that “anyone found fomenting trouble or disrupting the public peace at any point in time shall be made to face the full wrath of the law, as the Command has commenced aggressive and robust patrols and raids of Minna metropolis and has so far arrested 15 suspects from Angwan-daji, Limawa, and Barkin-sale area of Minna for disturbance of public peace and will be arraigned in court for prosecution.”
Abiodun advised members of the public not to be panicky or to entertain any fear as the Command was on top of the situation and was dominating the identified locations where these dastard acts were being perpetrated.
