Debate
Rep. Mohammed Monguno moved for the second reading of the Bill and it was seconded by Rep. Jimoh Olajide.
Rep. Monguno in leading the debate stated that the Bill seeks to extend the lifespan of the Capital aspect of the budget to enable the Federal government to execute critical projects left for implementation. He stressed its necessity as the projects have multiplier effects to positively affect the socioeconomic well-being of Nigerians.
The Bill was voted on, read the second time, passed and referred to the Committee of Supply.

Rep. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa stated that the Bill seeks to amend the Central Bank Act to get it in tandem with global best practices and raise the benchmark to ensure a vibrant financial system for Nigerians.
Rep. Sada Soli opposed the Bill as he had wanted to debate it fully during second reading.
