Immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, has commiserated with the people of Okpella on the fatal truck accident in which no fewer than five persons were killed and several others were injured.
The accident happened on Monday on the popular Ewo Market Road in Okpella, in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.
In a letter dated September 26, 2023, to a prominent APC chieftain from Okpella, Prince Malik Afegbua, Agba described the accident as a monumental tragedy.
Read the letter: “I write with a heavy heart to commiserate with you and the good people of Okpella town on the fatal accident that happened on Monday, September 25, 2023 on the Ewo Market Road, resulting in the death of five persons and leaving several others with varied degrees of injuries.
“This is a monumental tragedy that has diminished our humanity and left us completely shattered.
“Please extend my sympathies to the families of victims of the road crash.
“I pray that the Almighty God will comfort the royalty, the good people of Okpella, and your esteemed person on these monumentally tragic losses.
“It is well!”
