Popular Abuja-based female pastor, Mrs Sarah Omakwu, has added an interesting dimension to the growing national appeal of Peter Obi as she called on her church members and Nigerians who are dissatisfied with the state of the nation to “waste” their votes by casting them for a presidential candidate without a structure.
Although Omakwu did not mention the name of the Labour Party presidential candidate (Mr Peter Obi), she sarcastically, in episodic retorts, said that her congregation at the Family Worship Centre, Wuye, Abuja, should be ready to waste their votes on a candidate without structure(s).
She said that if the two leading parties, namely the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party were not afraid to produce Muslim presidential candidates, which according to her was a total disregard for Christians, “the Church should not be afraid to cast one vote in one place.”
Omakwu, in a trending video, urged her congregation not to listen to advice by the established parties and their promoters to people thinking of not voting for them to not waste their votes by casting them for any candidate without structure.
She said that the two parties with structure had not helped them. As she spoke, the congregants shouted excitedly in affirmative support.
She directed her elated congregants to very well go ahead and waste their votes on the candidate without structure.
She further requested those who had collected their PVCs to stand up and nearly all of them qere on their feet.
She told them that they were part of the people without structure and asked them to as well go and waste their votes on the candidate without structure.
