Hon. (Dr) Oladipupo Adebutu has received his certificate of return as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after emerging as the standard bearer for the 2023 polls.
The party’s National Chairman, Prof. Iyorchia Ayu, together with other NWC members, presented the certificate to him on Tuesday at the PDP Secretariat, Abuja.
The presentation came few weeks after the party’s primary poll in Ogun State where he emerged as the winner.
This development has put paid to all speculations and uncertainty around the candidacy of Adebutu.
The party held its congresses in the state on May 25, 2022 where Adebutu won the primary election held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
It would be recalled that the PDP in Ogun last Thursday affirmed Ladi Adebutu as the governorship candidate in the state.
The Chairman in the state, Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, made the disclosure at a news briefing in Abeokuta.
