Pastor Adeboye says God’s mercy saved Nigeria from devastating effects of COVID-19

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Sunday said that the mercy of God saved Nigeria from being hard hit by deaths as witnessed in developed countries of the world due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Adeboye, preaching at the National Headquarters of the Church on Sunday on the theme “Better Days Are Ahead”, said he told a friend who wanted to know the secret about Nigeria recording only a little over 1000 fatalities compared to several thousands deaths in developed countries with resilient hearhcare facilities, that it was the mercy of God at work.

The service was the first Sunday service in the month of November. The first Sunday of every month is christened “Thanksgiving Sunday”.

According to Adeboye: “If not for the mercy of God, coronavirus would have consumed Nigerians, compared to developed countries. God has been faithful to Nigeria.”

He admonished  Nigerians to continue to pray for God’s mercy and protection as “the world is trying to overcome the pandemic.”
