General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on Sunday, admonished politicians seeking presidential and other powers in 2023 to take it easy as they did not have the final say in what would become of them before the end of today or tomorrow.
Adeboye, in a sermom preached at the first Sunday of the month (thanksgiving) service of the church, entitled: “Great Expectations”, said nobody was sure if there would be Nigeria in 2023 and wondered the desperation over what would happen in about two years from now.
He quickly clarified, lest he (would) be misquoted, that he was not saying that Nigeria would not exist in 2023, that he only meant that “It is only God who will determine what will happen in Nigeria in 2023 and who will be President.”
He asked rhetorically: “Who among us here is sure or certain of seeing tomorrow?”
Adeboye provided the answer: “Nobody can say for certain that he or she will see tomorrow. Yet some people are fighting for political powers in 2023 while we are still in 2021.”
