A plane skidded off the taxiway after landing at Murtala Muhammed 2 airport in Lagos on Wednesday morning, according to a report by Per Second News
It said that one of Ethiopian airlines plane slightly skidded off the taxiway after landing.
Quoting airport officials, iy said the plane arriving at Lagos from Addis Ababa had landed and was at taxiing speed when it skidded off the taxiway while trying to make a turn to go to the gate.
The medium reported seeing crew and airport staff memberd trying to make the left landing gear free to allow free passage to tow the aircraft away from the grass .
The incident occurred at the runway end of the airport.
Officials said the over 100 passengers and seven crew were alive and accounted for after the plane ditched in green area.
The Ethiopian airlines aircraft was finally towed 3 hours after the incident. (PSN)
