A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and veteran journalist, Chief Dele Momodu, has declared his interest to run for the office of President of Nigeria in 2023.
Momodu, who is the Publisher of the famous Ovation magazine, made his intention known on Thursday at the PDP Secretariat in Abuja.
He was received by the National Chairman of PDP, Senator Iorchia Ayu.
Ayu commended him for taking a wise decision to contest election on the platform of the PDP which he said was poised to wrest power from the ruling All progressive Congress (APC) that has failed Nigerians.
He urged the media mogul to work hard by consulting with members of the party across the country to solicit for support as the party had no candidate in mind but was banking on aspirants to galvanize the support base of the party.
Momodu later addressed journalists where he solicited for their support and prayers as he was one of them and would not let them down.
The presidential aspirant, however, said he was not intimidated by other aspirants that had acquired stolen monies but was optimistic that Nigerians would surely vote for him.
