Osun SUBEB monitors compliance with COVID-19 preventive measures in schools

Officials of the Osun State Universal Basic Eduction Board have embarked on public schools monitoring exercise to ensure a high level of compliance on the use of the just-distributed COVID-19 preventive materials to all primary and Junior Secondary Schools across the state.
The Executive Chairman of the Board, Hon. Isreal Ajibola Famurewa, said that the monitoring exercise was germane to prevent the spread of deadly pandemic diseases among learners as well as teachers in order to ensure their  good health.
Hon. Famurewa said the just-distributed COVID-19 preventive materials to public schools across the state were a great sign to show governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s passion about the delivery of qualitative education in an healthy environment.
The SUBEB boss implored all and sundries that all hands must be on deck to ensure that the deadly disease has no breathing space in schools and the society at large
The monitoring exercice also involved Commissioner 1 Technical, Hon. Moshood Oluawo, Commissioner 2 Services, Hon. Amos Akindiya, Board member, Hon. Ayo Olajolo, Board member, Hon. Rafiu Fatoki and Executive Secretary, Mr Adeoye Bakare.
He enjoined all teachers to make judicious use of the preventive materials so as to ensure the delivery of qualitative education and healthy living of all in education sector.
The distributed COVID-19 preventive materials to schools were water basins, liquid soaps, infrared thermometers and hand sanitizers.
The distribution cut across schools in the following  local government areas visited: Ifelodun, Odo-Otin, Boripe, Boluwaduro,Iwo, Ola-Oluwa, Ayedire, Ejigbo, Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore local government areas.
Others were Ife East, Ife South, Ife Central, Area Office,Modakeke, Ilesa East,Ilesa West, Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West, Oriade Obokun, Ayedaade, Isokan, Irewole, Orolu, Olorunda local government areas and in Osogbo, the State capital.
The SUBEB Directors as well as other officers were also involved in the monitoring exercise to ascertain the level of compliance on use of  the COVID-19 preventive materials in schools across the state.
