All arrangements have been concluded by the Nigeria Union of journalists, NUJ, Osun state Council to hold a virtual training for its members on Thursday.
A statement made available to our Correspondent on Tuesday by the Acting Chairman of the Union, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and the Secretary, Comrade Bukola Elufadejin, said a political communication strategist, Dr Festus Adedayo and media strategist Mr Suleiman Aledeh would be the guest speakers at the workshop with the theme “Journalism under siege in Nigeria, the urgency and justification for media activism”.
The union enjoined members and the publics to join the training which would hold between 12noon and 1pm.
It noted that the training was aimed at equipping the professionals with relevant skills on how to perform their duties in the face of provocation.
“The training became imperative especially in line with the recent happenings between Chief Femi Fani kayode and Daily Trust Correspondent in Cross Rivers state, Mr Charles Eyo,” the union maintained.
