Osun State House of Assembly on Tuesday at the plenary announced the composition of yhe standing committees in the 8th Assembly.
According to the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Adewale Egbedun, in a statement issued and made available to our Correspondent in Osogbo, the composition of the committees was in line with house standing rules which provided for the establishment of standing committees to carry out the oversight function on government agencies and programmes and addressed specific issues of public importance in the State.
Rt. Hon. Egbedun said, “Some of the lawmakers who made the list as chairpersons of committee are: Hon. Kofoworola Babajide Adewunmi (Statutory/Standing Committee), Hon. Fatunmise Olumide Saheed (Finance & Appropriation), Hon. Lawal Bamidele Rasheed (Public Account), Hon. Ogundare Folorunsho (Environmental and Sanitation), Hon. Olatubosun Oladiran Oyewole (Agriculture & Food Security), Hon. Araoye Sanmi Ebenezer (Commerce, Industry, Cooperative and Empowerment), Hon. Abolarin Kasope Ajibade (Health), Hon. Olayiwola Taofeeq Olalekan ( Industrial Relation, Human Resources and Capital Building), Hon. Oladimeji Adekunle Emmanuel (Media and Public Affairs), Hon. Adeoti Lawrence Olalekan (Lands, Physical Planning & Urban Development).
“Others are Hon. Kanmi Ajibola (Judiciary, Human Rights, Public Petition & Legal Matters), Hon. Rabiu Adesina Atanda (Home Affairs, Culture and Tourism), Hon. Akerele Olawale Oladipo (House Matters, Ethics and Privileges), Hon. Oderinwale Elisha Akinyemi (Education), Hon. Asagade Olujimi Adedotun (Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters), Hon. Abiola Waheed Ibrahim (Works & Transport), Hon. Ogunriande Rotimi Adesola ( Regional Integration & Special Duties), Hon. Awoyeye Abiola Jeremiah (Youths, Sports & Special Needs), Hon. Simeon Olufemi Popoola ( Women & Children Affairs), Hon. Ajibola Olaide Kolawole ( Water Resources & Energy), Hon. Adeyemi Adewumi (Innovation, Science & Technology), Hon. Adeyemi Tajudeen Akinlola ( Security& Inter-Parliamentary Relations) and Hon. Ibrahim Afeez Abiodun (Legislative Compliance).
