The family of the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has swiftly reacted to reports that the late gospel singer’s children were stranded and in need of urgent help.
The claim had reportedly necessitated the setting up of a GoFundMe account for their survival.
A video surfaced on social media where Amarachi Eze who is the twin sister of the late gospel singer, stated that the family Osinachi left behind had been battling many challenges.
She cited in specific terms their inability to pay their rent and cater for the needs of the four children she left behind.
Some persons without the consent of the family opened a GoFundMe account, which they claimed was intended to raise funds for Osinachi’s kids.
In a later development, Prophetess Rose Kelvin, GO of Shekhinah Glory Ministries Worldwide had called out Amarachi Eze for not allowing her offer help to the late singer’s kids.
Amid the controversy, Osinachi’s family, in a new statement, released on their behalf by a lawyer, A. A. Paul, expressed their disapproval of the GoFundMe account.
They countered reports of collecting N32 million from the public and stated clearly that the children were being taken care of.
The family of the late Osinachi while disowning the GoFundMe account and reports about her kids wrote:
“WE PLEAD WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO PLEASE RESPECT OUR PRIVACY. WE APPRECIATE THE PUBLIC FOR THEIR CONCERN AND LOVE. ALL HER CHILDREN ARE BEING TAKEN CARE OF AND WE HAVE NOT COLLECTED ANY 32 MILLION FROM ANYBODY NOR ARE WE STRANDED OR BEGGING THE PUBLIC IN ANY FORM AS REGARDS TO A CERTAIN GOFUNDME ACCOUNT MAKING ROUNDS. PLEASE EVERYBODY SHOULD BE CAREFUL SO THAT YOU DON’T GET SCAMMED.
“THE BURIAL ARRANGEMENT IS IN PROGRESS AND WE SHALL INFORM THE GENERAL PUBLIC ONCE WE HAVE MADE FULL PREPARATION. PLEASE REMEMBER US IN YOUR PRAYERS AS WE HAVE SEEN HOW FAR THE DEVIL CAN GO BUT IN THE NAME OF JESUS WE ARE VICTORIOUS AND THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE STEPS OF THE RIGHTEOUS SHINES BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER UNTO A PERFECT DAY THAT IS OUR ASSURANCE.”
