A boy identified as Emmanuel, who was accused of gruesomely killing his brother, Daniel, has reportedly died following injuries sustained during a mob assault.
As reported by The Hope, local sources disclosed that Emmanuel was attacked by an angry crowd shortly after the alleged murder and was later taken to the hospital, where he eventually died from the wounds inflicted during the lynching.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Alayande said, “Yes, the suspect died in the hospital.”
The incident happened on Monday near the Origbara River in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, leaving residents in shock and prompting widespread public reaction.
