Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has sent a message of condolence to the former Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Senator Solomon Ewuga on the death of his pilot daughter, Miss Adzuayi Ewuga.
Adzuayi was the Pilot of the ill-fated Twin Otter Aircraft on Thursday in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The late Pilot along with 10 others died when the Aircraft crashed near Nanga Eboko, about 150km (90nm) northeast of the capital, Younde.
The plane operated by caverton helicopters was a DHC4-600 with a registration marking TJ-TIM.
According to his Chief Press Secretary Nathaniel Ikyur,
Governor Ortom expressed sadness on the untimely death of the young pilot saying “She was a promising professional who died in her prime. “
The Governor asked the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that the late Adzuayi lived a short but eventful life worthy of emulation.
He noted her contributions to the local and international Aviation industry saying “She left positive impressions. She will be sorely missed”.
Ortom prayed that God in His infinite mercy would grant the deceased eternal rest just as he prayed that God would give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss.
