

As part of efforts to eradicate poverty and deal with unemployment in Nigeria, the Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) foundation has entered into talks with Mbeng Adio Mushroom Farms Global LCC Delaware USA and FOARE Mushroom Farms Global LCC Ramona, California USA.
The talks dwell on a programme that is expected to provide jobs for over 20,000 women and youths of Nigeria.
The OUK foundation is ready to train the women on mushroom production.
Mushroom, consumed mainly in the European and Asia countries, can be extracted, used as enzymes, confectioneries and other numerous economic benefits.
China is the highest world producers and South Africa, the highest producers in the whole of Africa with Nigeria, adding 5% to the world market.
Furthermore, the Orji Uzor Kalu foundation, in her bid to reach the society in various facets of life and societal challenges, is taking the programme to women and youth of Nigeria to create job opportunities.
Speaking during the meeting, chairman Mbeg Adio farm thanked the founder of the Orji Uzor Kalu foundation, Senator Orji Kalu for his commitments to nation building, adding that such commitments to the people were appropriate at this time in the country where unemployment level was worrisome.
