Chief Dan Osi Orbih, the PDP South South Vice Chairman, has congratulated the newly-sworn in PDP governors of the South-South, charging them to use their mandate to develop the zone.
In an interactive session with journalists held in Port-Harcourt, on Thursday, Orbih said that the only thing that could keep the party, PDP, afloat in the region was development and meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate.
“I want to congratulate the newly-sworn in PDP governors from the South-South; Sir Siminialayi Fubara of Rivers State, Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta state.
“They have shown in their respective endeavours sterling leadership qualities and commitment to service hence their election.
“I am convinced that they will perform. I urge them to embark on people-oriented programmes that will fast-track development and growth in the region to make their states models for others.
“This is your moment to make a positive impact on the lives of our people. Initiate a viable development template to accomplish your goals.”
Orbih said that it was important that the newly-sworn in governors should be mindful of the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
