The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has felicitated Muslims on the 2026 Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-el-Kabir holidays and called on party members to maintain unity ahead of the next elections.
In a statement on Thursday, state Publicity Secretary Otunba Muyide Adeyeluwa commended the Federal Government for declaring the holidays. He said the move reflects the administration’s commitment to religious harmony, inclusiveness, and national unity.
The party urged Muslims to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, love, and obedience to God that the celebrations represent. It also asked them to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, progress, and economic prosperity under President Bola Tinubu.
APC State Chairman Hon. Kolawole Babatunde appealed to members to sustain the peace seen during the recent primary elections. He said members must remain mobilised and committed to working for the victory of all duly elected candidates.
Babatunde urged the party to rally behind Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to ensure continued progress and electoral success in Ondo State.
The party felicitated Muslim leaders, APC supporters, and residents across the state as they joined millions of Muslims worldwide in the celebrations. It expressed hope that the Eid period would strengthen national cohesion, deepen brotherhood, and bring renewed blessings to Ondo State and Nigeria.
