The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, attended a private screening of the film “On Different Grounds” on May 9 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island.
The event brought together traditional leaders, government officials, diplomats, and figures from Nigeria’s creative industry for an advance viewing ahead of the film’s public release.
Among those present were former Minister Frank Nweke Jr., actors Kate Henshaw, Ini Edo, and Bob Manuel Uzokwe, producer Ope Ajayi, and media executive Seun Oloketuyi.
Speaking at the screening, the Olu of Warri commended the producers and cast for telling a story that reflects Nigeria’s diversity and resilience.
“The creative sector is a vital platform for cultural expression and youth empowerment. We must continue to support works that project our identity and values to the world,” he said.
