Members of the state Caretaker Working Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun State Chapter, have lauded the infrastructural drive of Governor Gboyega Oyetola considering his administration interventions in critical physical projects across the state.
The APC chieftains gave the commendation during their official tour of the ongoing Ola-Iya flyover project in Osogbo, the state capital.
They described the project as an iconic one which they said would put an end to the incessant accidents and traffic disturbances at the popular Olaiya junction.
While addressing newsmen at the sideline of the tour, the Publicity Secretary of the APC, Comrade Wole Adunola, lauded the ingenuity of Governor Oyetola for meeting up with the yearnings of the citizens and residents of the entire state through his interventions in many critical sectors of the economy.
The APC spokesman said: “We are here today to assess the level of work at this important project of our party and government, no doubt, our leader and governor has been walking the talk, though, a silent leader but yet his actions have been speaking greatly of his good heart and many positive things he meant for the state.
“Many naysayers particularly the opposition parties thought this project would be abandoned midway because of the limited resources accruing to the state and the attendant’s effects of the global pandemic which has significantly affected the revenue of governments across all levels but the government has shown to our detractors that truly he is an excellent manager of resources.
“Based on the level of work done and briefing received from our brilliant and yet capable work commissioner, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, this project is moving beyond the scheduled date of completion.
“We are very glad of what we have seen here, our leader deserves nothing but a thump up for his good work.
“As a party, we will continue to support and motivate him, it is no doubt that the state is safe in his hands.
“It is also important to commend the commissioner in charge of works in the state, Oluremi Omowaiye, who has continued to demonstrate sterling qualities in every assignment he handles, very diligently and respectfully.
“We are confident just like the commissioner reiterate that this project would be completed before the officially scheduled date”, the state APC mouthpiece concluded.
