Chief Great Ogboru has emerged as the African Democratic Congress governorship candidate for Delta State ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ogboru polled 38,151 votes to defeat Dr. Emmanuel Unuafe, who got 1,182 votes, in the party’s primary concluded Monday at the ADC secretariat in Asaba. Two aspirants contested the ticket.
Chairman of the ADC Primary Election Committee, Prof. Patrick Sambo Williams, announced the result and said the exercise covered state assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and governorship positions across the state.
He said the process was peaceful and orderly, and that the party ensured a level playing field in line with its constitution and electoral guidelines.
