The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Ahmed Audi, has charged operatives to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and commitment in protecting Very Important Persons (VIPs).
This directive was given during a three-day VIP leadership and management workshop at the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.

Audi emphasised that his administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of misconduct, warning that personnel found guilty of sabotaging the Corps’ efforts would face sanctions.
The NSCDC boss commended the VIP National Commander, Deputy Commandant of Corps Anyor Donald, for his professionalism and loyalty, urging others to emulate these qualities.
The training aims to sharpen tactical and administrative skills of the Corps’ leadership, focusing on:
■ Strengthening Leadership Capacity and Management Skills*: Enhancing leadership abilities to effectively manage VIP protection.
■ Improving Interdepartmental Coordination*: Fostering collaboration among departments to ensure seamless VIP protection.
■ Reinforcing Professionalism in Armory Management and Decision-Making: Emphasiaing the importance of professionalism in armoury management and decision-making processes ¹.

Recently, the Corps unveiled a VIP Protection Unit, which underwent rigorous training to equip them with the necessary skills to protect high-risk individuals.
