Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, the actress said that the image doing the rounds online was secretly snapped by a woman at the gym, an act she described as deeply hurtful and embarrassing.
Nkechi, who became visibly emotional during the interview, emphasised that she had always embraced her natural body and remained proud of herself as a mother of a six-year-old.
She expressed frustration with people who undergo body enhancement procedures yet ridicule women who choose to remain natural.
She narrated how she eventually tracked down the lady who took the unauthorised picture and had her arrested, adding that the gym initially refused to provide information that would have made identifying the culprit easier.
In her words: “This is my body, this is how I’ve always been. I have a 6 years old son. You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body, are you stùp!d. I found her and got her arrested… na because I no come online?”
She said that the incident was a painful invasion of privacy and urged people to be more respectful towards women’s bodies, whether natural or enhanced.
