There some Nigerian Youth that know their onions; Intelligent, organized and composed. They are however far and in between. The average Nigerian Youth is vain and shallow. They dislike reading anything long, it is like sending them on a suicide mission. The deepest things in life are however in the longest .The Average Nigerian Youth enjoy the furore of a big brother thrill or the frill of an indecent display of wealth in a high class wedding or burial, where they can eat chicken and fish barbecue (BBQ). Some only know how to eat the BBQ, they cannot spell it.
This is obviously the reason Government get away with so many impunities, because the Youth do not even know what is happening. In Southern Nigeria, the Boys are entrenched in Football, the girls are entrenched in Church. Both are captured by Entertainment. The Few who are interested in State Issues are tagged “I too know” or “Over Sabi“. They will ask them “Na you wan repair Nigeria?”
The Nigerian Population demography is dominated by Youth. However they play little or no role in the political or economic sphere in this Country. Reason: They do not even know what is happeningn!
A Nigerian Youth will crave more for an i-phone than a voter’s card. When they participate in Political Activities, they are either the Internet Attack Dogs that are given peanuts for data to attack enemies of their paymasters or the political thugs that are paid peanuts to unleash mayhem on election day, while the Children of their pay masters attend the best Universities in the World and when they graduate, they get the best job in the land.
When it is time for elections, they gather Nigerian Youth as thugs and social media attack dogs, When there are good opportunities, They give them to their Children and Relatives.
Have you ever seen the child of a politician in a political rally? They preserve ther children for the best, while you risk your life and stake your reputation for them for the worst.
Nigerian Youth also do not get their priorities right. Most of them do not read newspapers or watch on TV, Local or International News. That is why They are always looking jobs while jobs are looking for those that know how to find them.
The family as the most important component of Society, has failed in grooming the Youth. Some mothers and fathers no longer uphold the high moral grounds some of us were brought up in. They are only interested in materialistic acquisitions, fuelling internet frauds (Yahoo Yahoo ) and prostitution (runs).
I feel sorry for some of the next generation of children. The decadence shall be unimaginable!
Societal fabrics have been torn apart .We now live in dangerous times .The time of well package rituals also known as Yahoo Plus and well packaged prostitution called Kayamata.
Dr. K.O. Mbadiwe over 50 years ago said this about Nigeria, which is still true till today: Man is living a false lifestyle in a wrong Society ,a Society where Moroons are Barons ,a Society where thieves are Chiefs and a Society where Monkey dey work baboon dey chop
