A member of the House of Representatives, representing Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State, Yuguda Hassan Kila, is dead.
He was aged 70, according to sundry media reports.
Kila was chairman of the House Committee on Customs until he died on Thursday afternoon at the National Hospital, Abuja from a brief illness.
A retired customs comptroller, the late politician began his basic education at Kila Primary School and subsequently Igbo Union Grammar School in Kano.
He also attended the prestigious Barewa College in Zaria and later the College of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA.
In 2015, he was elected member of the House of Representatives on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to represent Gwaram Constituency.
He was re-elected in the 2019 general elections. (TNG)
