Ahead of the Parade to mark Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary on Thursday, October 1, 2020, security has been beefed up in and around the premises of the Eagle Square, Abuja, venue of the event..
From midnight on Wednesday, 30 Sept. 2020, all routes leading to the Eagle Square will be blocked.
As a prelude to that, civil servants have been directed to vacate their offices in the Federal Secretariat buildings (blocks 1-3) latest 2 pm on Wednesday to facilitate the processes of enhancing security around the venue.
Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Mrs Folasade Esan issued a circular to this effect.
Consequently, Shehu Shagari Way, Ahmadu Bello Way, outward and inward-bound Airport Roads and adjoining roads will be blocked to traffic.
