A new President of the Christian Association of Nigeria would be announced on July 28, 2022, according to the schedule of activities and timetable for its Year 2022 General Assembly and leadership transition programme, signed by Pastor Bayo Oladeji, the Special Assistant (Media and Communication) to the outgoing CAN President, Rev. Samson Ayokunle in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to Oladeji, the new President of CAN would emerge at the end of the General Assembly Jubilee Resorts at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, where his nomination was expected to be ratified.
The religious body has yet to provide any details about the candidate to be chosen.
Oladeji also said that the event would mark the end of the tenure of His Eminence, Rev. Dr Samson Olasupo A Ayokunle and some members of the National Executives under his team and would usher in another administration.
