The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has commenced routine food distribution for 35,508 households of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno state.
According to Principal Information Officer NEMA North East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, this followed the approval by the Director General of NEMA, Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed Habib.
Ibrahim said staff of NEMA North East zonal office led by the zonal coordinator, Wagami Lydia Madu distributed the food items for IDPs in camps host communities and liberated communities in Borno state.
He added that each benefitting house is expected to receive a ration consisting of rice, beans, maize, vegetable oil, salt, tomato paste and seasoning.
