NDC to inaugurate 7-man reconciliation c’ttee over post-primary disputes

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has constituted a seven-member National Reconciliation Committee to address grievances that arose from the party’s recent primaries across the country.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the party’s National Chairman, Sen. Moses Cleopas and National Secretary, Mr Ikenna Enekweizu, said the committee would engage aspirants nationwide with a view to resolving all outstanding issues and fostering unity within the party.

According to the statement, renowned political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, will chair the committee, while Buba Galadima will serve as co-chairman.

Other members are Mohammed Takori (Vice Chairman), Mr Babatunde Alli (Secretary), Mrs Dudu Manuga, Salvador Moshood and Alhaji Haruna Pai.

The party also announced the establishment of three sub-committees to oversee reconciliation efforts in the North, South-South and South-East geopolitical zones.

The NDC said the committee would be inaugurated at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja at noon on Thursday, Aug. 6.
