NCDMB trains 33 graduates in pipeline pigging, corrosion control

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) on Friday commenced a 12-month training programme in pipeline pigging, corrosion control and monitoring for 33 young graduates of engineering and related disciplines.

The programme, organised in partnership with Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited and MJD Oilfield Services Limited, aims to build local expertise for the protection of Nigeria’s critical energy infrastructure.

Participants will undergo intensive training including classroom sessions, simulation exercises, field demonstrations, on-the-job training, mentorship and continuous assessment.

Representing the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Human Capital Development Manager Mrs. Tarilate Bribena-Teide said the training will equip the graduates to contribute to major national projects such as the 614km Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline.

She urged the trainees to approach the programme with dedication, while commending Renaissance Africa Energy for its commitment to Nigerian talent development.
